That Which Will Not Die

As the darkness envelopes the mind,
Death emerges and steals the soul.
The light on the horizon
Burns with a dark hindrance.
Like a distant beacon,
It calls us into the Abyss.
There we are imprisoned,
Forever to be tortured
Within the ravenous jaws of death.
While life is doomed to die,
Death lives on eternally.
